We grow in two ways – by acquiring new companies and through organic growth in existing operations. Acquisitions strengthen the Group in selected markets or within specific technology and product areas, but can also add entirely new operations to Beijer Alma. At the same time, we grow organically through investments in production and market development in existing companies.

Leading lightweight cables
Habia Cable’s lightweight cables are used in various kinds of marine technology, including diesel engines for ferries. The cables weigh 30 percent less than the competing products. In smaller boats, this contributes to lower fuel consumption and maintaining speed performance. The products also have a smaller diameter and are more flexible, which saves space. The cables are built to withstand high temperatures, which doubles their lifespan compared with many other products.
More medical technology
During the pandemic, demand for medical equipment – a focus area for Lesjöfors – has increased. For many years, John While Solutions in Singapore has produced specially developed wire forms for a customer that manufactures advanced medical equipment. In 2020, the company’s delivery volumes increased ten-fold. “Our products meet the stringent standards of the highly regulated area of medical equipment,” says Roy Loh, Vice President of Lesjöfors Spring Technology in Asia.
Digital hose labeling
It is now easier for customers to order hoses from Lundgrens. The company uses digital labeling, a process by which hoses are fitted with a label that has a QR code. This code provides information regarding the type of hose, length and where the hose is to be used. Any customer who wishes to place a new hose order can scan the QR code using a mobile phone and send the information to Lundgrens. This saves time and reduces the risk of disruptions. Lundgrens is the only company in Europe to offer this technology.
Metrol Springs is a manufacturer of tooling gas springs, special purpose gas springs and gas struts to Lesjöfors. The company serves industrial and automotive customers in Europe, the US and Asia. Read more
